Professional skills aim at regulated or licensed work: statutes, clinical-sounding advice, accounting treatments, formal filings. The directory can store a retrieval prompt. It cannot store a license to practice. A card on this shelf is a search aid at best and a confident fiction at worst.
A legal retrieval skill should quote a source you can open and should say when it found nothing. If it answers a hypothetical with a statute it did not quote, remove it. You would not file that paragraph. When not to install a skill treats disagreement between the card and the upstream license as a stop, and it treats legal cards as non-advice even when the retrieval works.
Check the jurisdiction the prompt assumes. A Chinese regulation retriever will not become a useful US tax assistant because you asked politely. The category is broad on purpose. The card has to be narrow or you should not install it.
Do not paste client secrets, matter names, or unpublished filings into a hosted model to "try the skill." Use a public example that is already in the reporter or the gazette. If the skill cannot operate on public text, it is not ready for client text.
Business-ops cards draft proposals. Professional cards gesture at obligations. If you are not sure which you opened, assume you need a person who holds the credential, and use the skill only to collect passages for that person to read. Hand counsel the official text, not the chat. If you only have the chat, you do not have a source yet. The skill's job ended when it gave you something to open. Your job starts at that open tab. A second search with a different keyword is not a source. The official page is.
